Wow, so the past week has been insane. Wednesday I went to my graduation ceremony, Thursday was the Industry Portfolio Review, and then I flew home Thursday evening, and Saturday afternoon was my graduation party. =D It still hasn't sunk in that I'm done with school. I still feel like I'm on summer vacation and there's that nagging feeling that I'll be going back to San Francisco in the fall. But...that's it. I'm done. Now my next goal is to find an apartment with Kait! The ceremony was held at Cow Palace (what a name) in Daly City. ( More photos - Class of 2008! )Farewell San Francisco. I shall miss you. Maybe someday I'll go back and visit, but for now it's so good to be home. CLASSES ARE OVER!!! But it's hard to celebrate right now because it's RIDICULOUSLY HOT. Seriously, this kinda weather is just unnatural for San Francisco. And ugh, I'm all sweaty and I'm sitting in a leather chair. >_< But I have to stay in the city another week longer for graduation next Wednesday. My family is coming up for the ceremony, and then we're gonna pack up ALL of my stuff, load it in the truck, and they are going to take it back home with them. I, however, need to stay an extra day for the Industry Portfolio Review, then I fly home that evening. So this means I'm done with school. Hopefully forever. But eh, who knows...someday I might come back to get my master's. This weekend I'm gonna use my free time to try and finish up those commissions. Tags: finals, graduation, school Current Mood: hot

Grades from the Fall Semester came in. That's a total of 31 classes I've taken. Out of those classes I have 28 A's and three B's and I have a 3.87 GPA. I am so graduating with honors. I also love my schedule for the Spring Semester. Tuesday: Illustration 2 8:30-2:50 Wednesday: Creature Design for Film 8:30-2:50 Thursday: Illustration 3 8:30-2:50 FOUR DAY WEEKEND WOOHOO! This is a different Creature Design class than last semester, but the good news is that I have the same teacher, Terryl Whitlatch. I love her so much, she is such a sweetheart and she makes class so enjoyable. I'm a little more worried about my two Illustration classes because to be taking both Ill2 and Ill3 at the same time is SUICIDE because of all the work. But I have Robert Revels again for Ill3 (I had him for digital painting) and he's pretty good. I'm freaking out not only because I graduate in 15 weeks, but also because this is my last semester in the big city. I've got to do all the sight-seeing stuff before I leave! I gotta go down to Pier 39 again, Haight Ashbury, and I've never even been to Alcatraz while at school! I MUST GO! Oh yes, and when I get back to school, I have to start working on a massive D*sneyland post. =D Tags: grades, school Current Mood: rushed

New icon. I can't wait to see Enchanted. James Baxter is going to rock so hard. Ok so...it's getting cold in San Fran. Winter is fast approaching and it feels like its gonna be a pretty frigid season. School update! It's official. I'm only taking 3 classes next semester, which I am extremely happy about. I signed up for Creature Design for Film (which is different than my current Creature Design class), Illustration 2, and Illustration 3. Yes, I'm taking 2 and 3 at the same time which the pretty much the equivalent of student suicide. But Sherrie thinks I'm up for the challenge and dammit if I don't challenge myself the last semester it just won't be worth it. But at least that gives me 4 days off during the week. Some interesting things I recently heard about my school. The Academy is now the second richest privately owned establishment in San Francisco. No idea as to what the first is. Also we now have more buses than the the public transportation in the city itself. The Academy just keeps buying more buildings and we just keep getting more students. So last night my Visual Development class took a short field trip to PIXAR Studios. It was after hours and we sadly didn't get to see much but it was still pretty fun. ( Fieldtrip Photos )I wish I could have gotten photos of their theater. They had nice couches. =D So Mark gave us portfolio info and a small presentation/overview on how their movies and shorts are made. All in all good fun. And fabulous studio.
